Centralized Scheduler- (Remote)

Position Purpose:
Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly work schedules for the nursing staff in accordance with all laws, regulations and company standards.

Director of Workforce Management
Essential Job Functions:
This facility expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive:
• Create and maintain work schedules for direct care staff for assigned locations; Modify schedules as needed.
• Analyze staffing levels for assigned areas and proactively work with locations to resolve potential staffing issues
• Schedule PTO/time off to meet both employee and facility needs
• Prepare and send the next day’s assignment sheet to facility before the end of shift.
• Attend and lead daily staffing meeting to discuss staffing updates (scheduled vs budgeted hours, resolve PTO/time off requests, call-outs, efforts to fill open shifts, status changes, open positions, census updates, etc.)
• Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
• Escalate staffing concerns to the Director of Workforce Management.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support as needed.
• Staffs the facility at levels determined by Director of Nursing and the Administrator.
• Utilizes overtime and agency only when approved by Director of Workforce Management.
• Distributes 4-week schedules to facility HR to post in designated areas.
• Processes requests for shift changes.
• Partner with facility as needed to ensure accuracy for payroll.
• Notify Director of Nursing of trends in time-clock punches (early/late).
• Maintains current nursing roster with current home and cell numbers, if applicable.
• Attend in-service education programs in order to meet facility educational requirements.
• Be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and know how to use the information.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information.
• Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.
• Protect the personal property of the residents of the facility.
• Others as directed by the supervisor or administrator.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
• Comply with the Residents’ Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
• Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below.
• Must have basic computer skills for Microsoft products- Work, excel, outlook.
