Receptionist- Part Time
About the position
Responsibilities
• Welcomes on-site visitors in a warm and friendly manner and announces them to appropriate personnel.
• Answers incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose, and forwards calls to the appropriate personnel.
• Provides information about the organization, including addresses and directions.
• Maintains office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
• Directs deliveries to the appropriate locations.
• Assists with sorting daily mail and provides backup support for metering the mail.
• Accepts payments from customers and notifies credit for order releases.
• Utilizes the Envoy system to pre-print guest badges for large customer events.
• Manages special administrative projects and overflow work from other departments.
• Ensures reception and lobby areas are always clean and tidy.
• Provides backup coverage for the morning Front Office Receptionist as needed.
• Ensures backup personnel are trained in all operating procedures.
Requirements
• Proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role.
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and customer relationships.
• Resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Ability to carry out assignments with little supervision.
• Well organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong multi-tasking and stress management skills.
