Job Summary
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician (Non-Certified) to join our team at King Soopers in Windsor, CO. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing excellent customer service, and supporting our pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This is a part-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $17.25 - $19.45, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process prescriptions, including receiving, verifying, and dispensing medication to customers.
- Maintain accurate records, including patient information, prescription data, and inventory management.
- Operate pharmacy software systems, inputting data and managing workflow efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, customers, and healthcare professionals, including contacting doctors' offices for refill authorizations.
- Perform tasks related to inventory management, such as ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies.
- Support the pharmacy team in preparing prescriptions for mailing, processing insurance claims, and handling customer transactions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills, including obtaining national certification within 12 months of employment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Proficient keyboard skills and effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related field.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Certifications & Licenses
Must obtain national certification within 12 months of employment and maintain certification with biannual renewals. Pharmacy Board License is required.
