Call Center Representative/Customer Service only from Indiana
About the position
Responsibilities
• Act as the primary liaison with customers to solve problems related to the application process and service.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers via telephone and written correspondence regarding all aspects of the claims process.
• Educate and inform customers about the documentation required to process a claim, required time frames, payment information, and claim status.
• Enter verbal and written application information accurately into the claims management system.
• Assign new claims to the appropriate claims handler.
• Direct customer calls to the correct person at all locations.
• Participate in and maintain a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team.
• Attend scheduled work hours as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support the organization's quality program(s).
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Experience in an inbound call center preferred.
• Knowledgeable in disability plan eligibility, coverage, and benefits.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies.
Nice-to-haves
• Bilingual in French or Spanish is a must.
