Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Support Representative to join our team in Illinois, USA. As a key member of our call center operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our patients and customers. Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Representative, you will be responsible for:
  • Utilizing Walgreens' remedy information section strategies and rules to process new patient enrollment by entering information into the proper system.
  • Handling patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and entering refill orders for processing.
  • Investigating to obtain missing medication data, and deciphering clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Settling all information passage-related exceptions.
  • Handling correspondence to patients (inbound calls, visits, messages) and making outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
  • Settling on phone calls to guarantors and others to obtain data, gain abrogate endorsement, or otherwise settle the patient's issue.
  • Providing support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those at other locations.
  • Recognizing and conveying issues to senior-level staff as necessary.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic level computer skills, including starting and closing a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, printing documents, and accessing data online.
  • Basic web browser skills, including opening a program, composing in URLs in the right field, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
  • Moderate level keyboarding skills, including typing at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing documents.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
  • Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills, including typing at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and designing documents.
  • Familiarity with Spanish and English.
