Position Title: Call Center Representative - Remote IN
Location: 2670 Executive Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46241
Anticipated Start Date: 10/17
Expected Duration: 3- 12 months (based on the Workload)
Job Type: Contract with possible extension
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr on W2Note:
• The first three days will require onsite presence for induction/training.
• Remote work begins after the initial training period.
• Must have personal transportation to commute during the onsite training.
Job Description:
Primary Purpose:
To expedite the claims application process, ensure proper case assignment, and serve as the primary customer liaison to address and resolve issues or questions effectively.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, resolving issues related to the claims application process and services.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers via telephone and/or written correspondence regarding all aspects of the claims process.
• Educate and inform customers about required documentation, processing timelines, payment details, and claim status through verbal and written communication.
• Accurately input application information into the claims management system, meeting internal and external customer requirements.
• Assign new claims to the appropriate claims handler.
• Redirect customer inquiries to the correct department or personnel.
• Foster and maintain a quality service culture within the Customer Service Team.
• Ensure attendance during scheduled work hours.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities:
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the organization's quality programs.
QualificationsEducation & Licensing:
• High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
• At least one (1) year of customer service experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in an inbound call center is highly desirable.
Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of disability plan eligibility, coverage, and benefits.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
• Proficiency in PC operations and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance benchmarks.
