Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business team to introduce Google Cloud to clients, helping them understand its capabilities and benefits.
  • Work with clients to identify technical pain points, develop strategies to address them, and implement Google Cloud solutions.
  • Manage technical relationships with Google clients, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordination of additional technical resources.
  • Demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in client or partner environments.
  • Recommend migration strategies, project templates, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure to implement comprehensive solutions using Google Cloud.
  • Test and motivate clients and peers to solve problems with solutions using a range of technical skills.
  • Participate in client meetings, conferences, and other related events as needed.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A four-year college education in Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or client-facing role.
  • Experience with traditional data center models and components (e.g., servers, storage, backup, networking, and virtualization technology).

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having the following skills and experiences will be a significant advantage:

  • Experience with deployment methodologies and technologies (e.g., Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Experience with operating systems, Linux system administration, or Enterprise applications.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, infrastructure, storage, or platforms.
  • Knowledge of security matters (e.g., authentication protocols, identity and access management systems, encryption, securing cloud architectures, network, end-point security).
  • Experience in areas of networking (e.g., Linux, software-defined networking, virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, DNS, virtual private networks and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies).
