Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls with professionalism and poise, engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of American Express products and services, including our Small Business Services (SBS) offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, clearly articulating the features, benefits, and value proposition of our products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through active listening, consultative selling, and issue resolution.
  • Continuously develop and refine your sales skills, including building rapport, handling objections, and closing deals.
  • Provide exceptional customer care by responding promptly to client inquiries and resolving issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and report relevant account information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines related to servicing and sales practices.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed as a Customer Care Professional at American Express, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of building client loyalty through excellent listening, consultative relationship building, and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated success in a customer service and sales environment, with a strong ability to work in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
  • Excellent multitasking and navigation skills in an online environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications
