**Experienced Entry-Level Life Sciences Patent Agent or Scientific Analyst – Patent Prosecution and Scientific Research**

**Job Summary**
As an Entry-Level Life Sciences Patent Agent or Scientific Analyst, you will play a critical role in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, contributing to prosecution strategy, and providing technical and legal research and analysis with respect to matters pending before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. You will also provide technical support for patent interference and litigation proceedings. **Key Responsibilities**
* Prepare and prosecute patent applications, including drafting and filing patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting patent searches
* Contribute to prosecution strategy, including identifying and analyzing patentability issues, and developing strategies for overcoming objections
* Provide technical and legal research and analysis with respect to matters pending before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including conducting patentability searches, analyzing prior art, and drafting patentability opinions
* Provide technical support for patent interference and litigation proceedings, including conducting research and analysis, drafting expert reports, and testifying as an expert witness
* Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective patent prosecution strategies
* Stay up-to-date with changes in patent law and regulations, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and results
**Essential Qualifications**
* Ph.D. in life sciences or medicine
* Outstanding writing and analytical skills, and top academic credentials
* Strong understanding of patent law and regulations, including the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rules and procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
* Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough and accurate research and analysis
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines and priorities
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience in patent prosecution or scientific research
* Knowledge of patent law and regulations, including the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rules and procedures
* Experience working with clients, including drafting and filing patent applications, responding to office actions, and conducting patent searches
* Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
* Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
