Key Responsibilities
- Foster the vision, strategy, and short/long-term roadmap of the Global Retrofit Projects team to enable scale, efficiency, and innovation.
- Lead the collaboration between Global Retrofit programs, Project Controls and Engineering Management, and data center operations teams to ensure alignment with procurement and execution strategies.
- Conduct feasibility assessments, develop project plans, cost, and schedule estimates in collaboration with data center execution team subject matter experts to present technical and business cases to leadership.
- Lead the concept, planning, and development phases of Global Retrofit programs. Be responsible for the development of technical documents and standards, program plans, risk monitoring/mitigation, and portfolio reporting to ensure predictable delivery.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A four-year degree in a relevant field, such as design, engineering, or a related specialized field, or comparable functional experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience managing complex development projects with competing resources and priorities.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with program management.
- Experience with strategic hardware/environments in at least one discipline: electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air-handling units, or controls.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:
- Experience in the planning and retrofitting of operational data center infrastructures or managing, operating, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience driving end-to-end project life cycle.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple levels of an organization and developing and managing cross-functional project team relationships.
- Knowledge of the tools and components of technical program management, along with the development of programs, tools, and processes.
- Comfortable moving between detailed analysis and higher perspective thinking, while tailoring communication to the audience.
