Job Description

We are seeking a certified and experienced teacher to provide small group intervention to K-12 students in Nashville, Tennessee. As a part-time Intervention Teacher, you will work with students in both Reading and Math, using a prescribed curriculum and the gradual release model of instruction. Your goal will be to help students address their identified skill deficits and reach on-level academic success. Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct small groups of students in Reading/ELA and Math, focusing on intervention and support
  • Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills to eligible students
  • Utilize company-provided curriculum to develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
  • Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classrooms/learning stations
  • Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, and parent and classroom teacher communication forms
  • Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences, maintaining consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education or a related field
  • Teaching Certificate or equivalent
  • Classroom teaching, internship, and/or tutoring experience
  • Willingness and ability to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred
  • A passion to help students achieve academic success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with at-risk youth or students who are struggling
  • Familiarity with small group intervention and the gradual release model of instruction
  • Knowledge of K-12 educational standards and curriculum development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
