Key Responsibilities
- Develop and provide students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, including terminal course objectives.
- Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Utilize appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions, to prepare and deliver courses.
- Model effective oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve student learning outcomes.
- Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight distribution of various evaluation categories.
- Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives, and demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams.
- Provide timely feedback to students and complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a master's degree in a relevant field (with 18 graduate hours in the subject being taught for undergraduate teaching). Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply. You must also have:
- Requisite subject matter expertise in Web Graphic Design and digital media education.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in a diverse and non-traditional environment.
