- Senior Childcare Lawyer

Key Responsibilities
As a lawyer at Medway Legal Services, you will be expected to:
- Carry a caseload of matters in proceedings and pre-proceedings
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients
- Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in court and tribunals
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals
- Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and best practices
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid solicitor's qualification or barrister's qualification
- Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the public sector
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in childcare law, contracts law, or property law
- Knowledge of the public procurement regime
- Experience working in a local authority or similar environment
