About the Role
The Instructional Support Associate, Mathematics, plays a vital role in maintaining the daily operations of the mathematics center, providing support to students, and working closely with faculty and staff. This position requires a strong background in mathematics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. As an Instructional Support Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Providing tutorial support and academic assistance to students in mathematics courses
- Managing the daily workflow of the mathematics center, including scheduling, tracking student progress, and maintaining records
- Collaborating with faculty and staff to develop and implement academic support strategies
- Traveling to various campuses and locations for college business as needed
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current in mathematics education and tutoring techniques
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in mathematics or a related field, along with tutorial/teaching experience in the appropriate subject area in an educational setting
- Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with two (2) years of related professional work experience
- Associate's degree with an earned College Reading Learning Association or Association of Coaching and Tutoring Profession associate tutor certification

- Strong knowledge of mathematics and ability to communicate complex concepts to students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
