Experienced Part-Time STEM Academy Teaching Assistant – Math and Science Education for High School Students

We are seeking up to eight (8) part-time STEM Academy Teaching Assistants to join our team at Penn State Abington. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering math and science-based instruction, activities, and labs to high school students in a community organization in Northeast Philadelphia.About the Role
As a Part-Time STEM Academy Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with faculty in STEM fields to deliver engaging and interactive learning experiences for high school students. Your responsibilities will include:- Delivering STEM-based instruction, activities, and labs for high school students
- Following and revising written instructions and supporting materials for all STEM activities
- Providing weekly updates, reports, and materials to the STEM Faculty Coordinator
- Communicating regularly with fellow STEM team members and Faculty Coordinator to ensure proper content and problem-solving

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:- Timely completion of job responsibilities and taking initiative to resolve problems
- Proficiency within at least one STEM area of interest (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science) or Education (5th semester students or higher preferred)
- Ability to understand instructions and work independently as well as collaboratively on tasks
