Experienced Teaching Instructor in Bioprocess Manufacturing – Faculty Position in the College of Engineering and Technology

As a Teaching Instructor, you will play a vital role in developing and teaching courses in bioprocess manufacturing, as well as engaging in recruitment and outreach activities to feeder community colleges and high schools.About the College of Engineering and Technology

As a Teaching Instructor in Bioprocess Manufacturing, you will be responsible for:- Teaching courses in bioprocess manufacturing, including Microbiology for Industrial Processing, Engineering for Food Safety and Sanitation, Separation Techniques for Industrial Processing, Waste Treatment Techniques for Industrial Processing, and Quality in Regulatory Environment.
- Engaging in recruitment and outreach activities to feeder community colleges and high schools to promote the bioprocess/biopharma industry and advise current and prospective students on opportunities in this field.
- Collaborating with industry partners on curriculum, placement, and incumbent worker training, as well as other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:- A Master's degree or higher in Bioprocess Engineering/Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Science, Technology Management, Industrial Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a discipline related to Bioprocess Manufacturing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Bioprocess manufacturing industry experience or experience teaching bioprocess manufacturing courses at the university or college level.
- Familiarity with current North Carolina bioprocessing facilities is desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
