Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist Centralized Services professional at Walgreens, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects
  • Driving the execution of various marketable strategies and ventures to guarantee business needs are being met
  • Driving compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services
  • Ensuring regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies to company financial objectives
  • Implementing and executing patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance
  • Upholding efforts on enhancing patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services
  • Providing expertise, resources, training, and support to pharmacists and field management
  • Conducting data and clinical reviews and making strategic moves to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications
  • Reviewing drug accounts and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment
  • Providing individualized patient/supplier consultation and giving feedback regarding the effectiveness of the Client Maintenance Program

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Current Pharmacist license as conferred by the appropriate state licensing authority
  • Experience advancing colleagues to research and resolve issues
  • Experience working with confidential information
  • Able to work non-standard hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and/or weekends
  • Experience using time utilization skills, such as prioritizing/coordinating and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates
  • Experience creating ways to achieve goals with minimal supervision, relying on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary
  • Knowledge of insurance plans
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
