Job Summary

The Quality Control Standards Data Analyst will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the Quality Control department. This internship opportunity, lasting 12 weeks from May 21 to August 9, 2024, will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in data analysis, process improvement, and project development. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist in the timely collection, validation, and root cause analysis of data elements within the Quality Control team.
  • Help create and communicate results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders and leaders.
  • Assist in addressing critical ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and provide analytical answers to enable senior leadership to make informed business decisions.
  • Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate stakeholder understanding.
  • Help develop and distribute specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm and validating the need for data requirements.
  • Identify anomalies in processes through audits/reviews and communicate findings to the team.
  • Assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures by monitoring for trends and errors.
  • Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
  • May perform other job duties as directed by the Team Lead.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Have a strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be able to effectively communicate ideas and present findings in writing, verbally, or through presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Have experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Be familiar with data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and prioritize responsibilities independently.
  • Have a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

  • Prior internship experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and statistical techniques.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and presentation development.
  • Completion of relevant coursework or capstone projects.
