About the Role
As an Asset Protection Operations Coach Trainee, you will be responsible for detecting, deterring, investigating, and resolving violations of company policies and criminal activities. You will also manage facility-level training, execute asset protection and safety functions, and drive financial performance and sales in your designated store area. Key Responsibilities
- Asset Protection: Detect, deter, investigate, and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities, including alleged fraud and other alleged illegal activities.
- Safety Management: Monitor safety and risk controls within a facility, ensuring an effective safety program is in place, supervising the safety team, and identifying accident trends to develop and implement solutions.
- Training and Execution: Manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety functions, and claims and receiving procedures, reviewing the application of policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Claims and Receiving Operations: Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed, timely processing of claims and merchandise deliveries, and maintaining necessary documentation and reporting.
- Customer Service: Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
- Financial Performance: Drive financial performance and sales in your designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Leadership and Development: Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, and mentoring associates, and setting clear expectations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
Essential Qualifications
- Meets applicable state requirements to work in Asset Protection, such as minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing.
- Successful completion of job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- Certification in an asset protection-related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified, Loss Prevention Certified).
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
- Investigative experience.
