Job Overview
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Autism/ABA Therapist to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As an Autism/ABA Therapist with Key Autism Services, you'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adolescents with ASD, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents with ASD.
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans and progress monitoring.
- Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans as directed by a BCBA Supervisor.
- Collaborate with BCBA Supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
- Respond to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and preparedness for therapy sessions.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred.
- 1-year experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably with ABA/RBT experience.
- If no direct ABA experience, 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
- RBT certification or willingness to obtain RBT certification through our 40-hour training course.
- Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families.
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or related conditions.
