Key Responsibilities
As a Non-Actuarial Pensions Consultant - Special Projects, you'll be instrumental in driving various projects forward, working closely with clients and internal teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and contributing to non-BAU pensions projects, including de-risking exercises, benefits and data due diligence, and calculations testing
- Utilizing your technical expertise to analyze and resolve complex pensions-related issues
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of client requirements and industry trends
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Experience working in a technical non-actuarial DB pensions or pensions administration position
- Recent experience within a pensions consulting environment
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to apply technical expertise to complex data analysis
- A strong understanding of pensions-related concepts and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills will be considered advantageous:
- A professional qualification in a relevant field, such as pensions or finance
- Experience working with BPA providers or on de-risking exercises
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and systems
