  • Obtain additional medical information for clinical staff to prepare authorizations for review by Clinical Intake Coordinators.
  • Provide benefits interpretation, including coordination of care for medically necessary services that are not covered, to ensure members receive the support they need.
  • Monitor, track, and process provider service appeals, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Serve as a resource to Non-Clinical Intake Coordinator Level I and Level II staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
  • Review member history and eligibility, as well as previous referral authorizations, to inform decision-making and ensure continuity of care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with providers, members, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications
