Job Summary
The Senior SEO and SEM Specialist is responsible for delivering green and effective results in both paid and organic search, maximizing ROI, and reducing cannibalization/friction among channels. This role will partner closely with various internal teams and our media business enterprise on planning, executing, measuring, and optimizing customer-facing paid media channels for Southwest Airlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO and SEM strategies to drive traffic, conversions, and revenue growth across paid media and organic search channels.
- Analyze customer insights to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement in paid media and organic search campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, and media, to align SEO and SEM efforts with business objectives.
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across multiple channels, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, and social media.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and technical SEO audits to inform optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, including ROI, conversion rates, and campaign efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and algorithm updates in SEO and SEM.
- Provide recommendations for improving cross-channel integration of performance content and audience-first personalization techniques.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in SEO and SEM, with a focus on paid media and organic search optimization.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, keyword research, and technical SEO.
- Proven track record of delivering successful SEO and SEM campaigns that drive traffic, conversions, and revenue growth.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the airline or travel industry.
- Knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, and social media advertising platforms.
- Certifications in SEO and SEM, such as Google Analytics or HubSpot.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and conversion rate optimization.
