Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician Data Entry - Customer Service, you will perform order entry tasks and collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process at our closed-door pharmacy. Your primary responsibilities will include triaging customer service requests, calculating and verifying correct dosages, and providing dispensing pharmacists with critical information regarding allergies and drug interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
  • Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
  • Assisting in reviewing narcotic Rx's to ensure timely return
  • Providing dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer records
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure accurate and efficient medication dispensing process
  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding to customer inquiries

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or working in a call center
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • PTCB National Certification

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is:

  • $17.00 - $28.46 per hour
