Job Summary

As a Phone and Chat Specialist, you will be responsible for navigating online systems to verify nurse credentials, following up with nurses via written messages and phone calls, and handling customer inquiries. You'll be an integral part of our team, working independently and efficiently to ensure seamless communication and credential verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large volumes of inbound and outbound calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Handle multiple chat channels simultaneously, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues
  • Follow communication scripts and protocols when handling different topics and customer interactions
  • Identify customer needs, clarify information, research, and provide solutions and/or alternatives
  • Access company and client resources to accurately handle calls and verify nurse credentials
  • Perform data entry and customer service tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Navigate online systems efficiently to verify nurse credentials and facilitate communication
  • Work requests and records received for those requesting to sign up for shifts
  • Identify customer needs, research to see if requests have required credentials
  • Skillfully multitask and adapt to changing priorities without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times, with a positive and professional demeanor in all customer interactions
  • Flexibility to cross-train as requested and adapt to changing team needs

Essential Qualifications

  • 1 year of customer service or customer support experience
  • 1 year of previous call center or office background experience
  • Technical savvy with ability to navigate online systems and software applications
  • Previous remote work experience a plus, with ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Quick learner with ability to adapt to new systems and protocols
  • Type 35 words per minute accurately, with strong phone and verbal communication skills
  • Active listening and problem-solving skills, with ability to provide solutions and alternatives
  • A background check applicable with state and federal laws is required

  • Previous experience in healthcare or medical field
  • Familiarity with credential verification processes and systems

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Starting pay: $14/hour, with shift differential (extra $1/hr nights & weekends) and possible increase after 90 days pending attendance and performance
  • Paid training: 3 weeks in length from 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri (CST)
  • Full-time status: 40 hours per week
  • Equipment provided option: Equipment will be shipped to you for full-time permanent employees
