Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager II to lead the development and enhancement of our reverse logistics capabilities. As a Product Manager II, you will own and manage a product line focused on claims & return to vendor processes, reverse logistics planning & visibility, and more across our supply chain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers, software engineers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative products and services that align with strategic priorities and achieve product-market fit.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy
- Define a roadmap for your product in collaboration with technology peers and stakeholders within a modern development environment.
- Establish a "voice of the product" that empathizes with customers' and stakeholders' needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer pain points and market trends to inform product decisions.
Data-Driven Decisions
- Establish metrics and measurements for your product domain to report on value delivered.
- Use lagging and leading indicators' performance to inform product iterations and prioritization within the roadmap.
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven decisions to drive business outcomes.
Testing and Research
- Aid in the formulation of hypotheses to coordinate A/B tests, prototypes, or research.
- Refine the product until the desired outcome is achieved through lean experimentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute experiments to validate product assumptions.
Delivery
- Manage the backlog and create effective user stories.
- Lead backlog prioritization and management, and work with software engineers to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
- Capture bugs and work towards defect resolution.
Team Collaboration
- Actively participate in stand-ups, planning sessions, demos, and retrospectives with your team on a weekly basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product designers, software engineers, and stakeholders.
- Communicate product plans, progress, and results to stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- Intermediate understanding of Product Management.
- Understanding of product lifecycle.
- Knowledge of human-centered design principles.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to balance business objectives and customer needs.
- Demonstrated success defining & launching successful products.
- A customer-centric view into developing great product experiences and the ability to advocate on a customer's behalf.
- A foundational understanding of Scrum and Agile.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong deductive reasoning skills.
- A curious attitude and desire to learn.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with various peer groups.
- Experience working with third-party vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
- Advanced understanding of Product Management.
- Experience in reverse logistics or supply chain management.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience with data analysis and metrics-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of market research and customer feedback mechanisms.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
