Position Overview
As a part-time Project Manager, you will serve as the functional lead resource for project management, meeting facilitation, deliverables management, contract compliance, and direction and oversight of subject matter expert consultants. You will be responsible for managing a team of internal and external consulting resources to execute all tasks, ensuring continuity of day-to-day operations, and providing overall direction of project activities. This is a remote opportunity with flexible hours, estimated to be approximately 10-20 hours a week, with the possibility of fluctuation depending on task workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction of project activities, ensuring continuity of day-to-day operations and meeting project goals and objectives.
- Serve as primary point of contact with clients, ensuring that clients are up-to-date on project status and overall progress.
- Oversee specific projects on behalf of agency personnel, maintaining project schedule and performance data.
- Meet regularly with government stakeholders and advise them on deliverables and issues on the project.
- Consult with and advise government management, providing analytical guidance required for completion of task order projects.
- Facilitate meetings and manage subcontractors and other consulting resources effectively.
- Monitor budgeting and scheduling, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct quality surveillance and problem resolution, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Manage staff recruiting, hiring, and staff development, ensuring that the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced project environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, project management, or a related field.
- Five years of relevant federal Project Manager experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a project management environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced project environment.
