About the Role

As a Remote Call Center Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, providers, and other stakeholders through the prior authorization process. You will work closely with our team to ensure seamless communication, accurate documentation, and timely resolution of customer inquiries. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional phone assistance to members, providers, and other stakeholders through the prior authorization process
  • Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials
  • Transfer all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless communication and timely resolution of customer inquiries
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service position with high volume call center experience, preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position
  • Availability: Required availability is 7 am - 8 pm CST, with training hours from 8 am - 4:30 pm
  • Attendance: Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Technician certification at a State or National level
  • Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and prior authorization processes
