How you will contribute:
- Learn and understand Truven’sproducts, business model, strategy,culture,etc. to develop asolidunderstanding of the business andsupportitsrevenue goals throughcontractingactivities.
- Initiate, review,andredlinestandardtransactional contracts including,but not limited to,nondisclosure agreements,statements of work,teaming agreementsand amendments.
- Support Truven byefficientlymanagingstandardcontracts.
- Provide assistanceand support incompetitive bid effortsthroughthe evaluation of RFIs and RFPs,tracking ofissues and providingsupport tobid responsein alignment withthe company’s guidelines.
- Analyze contract terms and conditions, evaluate prior terms and conditions,determine the need for contract amendments or renewals,and makerevisionswithinguidelines,utilizing contract playbooks and feedback from subject matter experts.
- Develop strong business relationships withinternalstakeholdersto ensureaneffective,efficientandbeneficialcontracting experience.
- Manage contractplaybooks, templates, processes and clause librariesand participate in key meetings and training toimprove enterprise contracting processes anddrive overall compliance withTruven contractingpolicies and procedures.
- Develop a deep understanding ofexisting contract management systems andassistin the implementationofimprovements andnew technologies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, requested, and/or assigned.
About You
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years ofrelevantparalegal experience,withatleast some in house legal experience
- Proven working experiencedrafting,reviewingand managingcontracts
- Extensive computer and database expertise
- Practical, business-driven problem solverwith abilitytomanage competing priorities in adynamicenvironment.
- Exceptionallydetail oriented, possess a sense of urgency, and produceshigh-qualityworkwith minimal supervision
- Anunwaveringcommitment tocustomer service for both internal and externalclients.
- Exceptionalinterpersonal skillsand verbal and written communication skills,with theabilityto effectivelycommunicate with diverse personalitiesin atactful, reliable and flexiblemanner.
- Extensivecomputer and database expertise including Office365, CRM and CLM tools
What we would love to see:
- Experience in some combination of the following industries: healthcare technology, technology software & services or healthcare.
- Experience working with government contracts and procurement processes
- Experienceworkingwith data privacyissuesand agreements
