Low Voltage Technician
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems such as security, networking, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, intercoms, and audio/visual systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cabling, testing, and troubleshooting, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coax, etc.).
Set up and maintain low voltage systems including:
Security and surveillance systems (CCTV)
Access control and alarm systems
Data/voice networking and structured cabling
Audio/video systems and intercoms
Fire alarm systems (if certified)
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
Troubleshoot and repair systems and components with minimal supervision.
Ensure installations comply with all local, state, and national codes and industry standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness.
Work with clients and project managers to ensure expectations are met and jobs are completed on time.
Document work performed, including service reports, testing results, and system updates.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in electronics or electrical systems preferred.
13 years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems installation or service.
Proficient with hand tools, testing equipment, and low voltage safety practices.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in teams, often on active construction sites.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Preferred:
Low Voltage License (if required by state/local jurisdiction).
Certifications such as BICSI, OSHA 10/30, NICET, or manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Honeywell, Hikvision).
Experience with lifts, ladders, and working in confined spaces.
