Key Responsibilities

  • Queries, reviews, and analyzes data to prepare analytics, including pricing and financial models, leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and SQL techniques.
  • Assists other Pricing & Finance Analysts with the training of analysis and provides consultation and analytic insight to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilizes advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create and maintain complex forecasting and underwriting models, including pivot tables, Macros, VLOOKUP, INDEX + MATCH, SUMIFS, and formula auditing.
  • Employs intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Access, SAS, and SQL to query and analyze large and complex data sets, including parameter and action queries, joining tables, and creating cross-tab queries.
  • Regularly monitors, evaluates, reports, and automates efforts to enhance current pricing mechanisms and implements process improvements.
  • Identifies and solves pricing issues by performing analysis that involves retrieving and analyzing both internal data and data obtained from third-party sources.
  • Analyzes data and sets of data to become accountable for the results portrayed by that analysis and creates standard operating procedures to analyze and respond to inquiries from internal business partners.
  • Communicates and collaborates with business partners across functional areas, including finance, reporting, operations, business development, and sales.
  • Presents pricing recommendation guidelines, data analysis, and financial models to management and leadership on a regular basis.
  • Prepares senior-level executive documentation of pricing recommendation financial metric guidelines (Executive Governance Memos).

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Business, Actuarial Science, or Pharmacoeconomics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Contracting, Finance, Account Management, or Pricing, or a related field (or a combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background).
  • 1+ years of pricing/financial analysis or related experience, including experience using Excel for financial data analysis and/or financial modeling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data, business metrics, and operational processes.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and experience with analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information to executives and leaders across the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines with a high-quality product.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel, and intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Word.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Advanced pricing and profitability modeling experience.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $28-38 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications.
