Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Studio Research and Analysis team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting Disney+ Product, Marketing, and Content Curation teams by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to inform business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions, develop reports and visualizations, and communicate insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analysis tasks, including data collection, cleaning, and analysis, as well as data visualization and reporting.
  • Collaborate with various teams to design and implement data-driven solutions, develop reports and visualizations, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Work with SQL to join different data sources, extract insights, and build comprehensive data sets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with research partners within the team and across different divisions of the company, as well as external vendors.
  • Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and other visualizations to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
  • Manage assigned projects, conduct quality control checks, and report progress to supervisors to ensure timely completion.
  • Work closely with the Sr. Administrator and team to ensure that all results are actionable and drive key business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the SVOD and In-Home industries.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field, and 3 years of relevant work experience, or
  • Graduate degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field, and 1 year of relevant work experience.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to extract and combine data from various sources.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar.
  • Strong quantitative thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise visualizations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data analysis tools, such as SPSS, Q, MarketSight.
  • Experience working with survey tools, such as Interpret, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey.
  • Experience with programming languages, such as R, Python, SAS, STATA, or similar.
  • Postgraduate education in Statistics or Mathematics.
  • Quantitative analysis background, either client-side or provider-side.
  • Experience with analyzing survey data to extract meaningful insights.
  • Experience with membership-based business models and strategies.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The recruiting range for this position in Burbank, CA is $93,400 to $125,200 per year. The base salary will be determined based on internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location, work-related experience, skills, and qualifications. A bonus or long-term incentive units may be offered as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of clinical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
