As part of this endeavor, the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Developer to join their team. About the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI)

ACHI is a health policy organization administratively housed within UAMS, dedicated to being a catalyst for improving the health of Arkansans. Since its inception in 1998, ACHI has become a trusted source for local and national health and health industry information, providing critical data analyses and strategies that drive decisions and shape health policy. As a Senior Business Systems Developer at ACHI, you will play a crucial role in supporting processes required to maintain analytic databases, infrastructure, and contributing data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced data quality and data processing issue resolution, leading forensic data quality and process exploration to support data solution design.
  • Identify process improvements and support cross-team project development.
  • Provide process-level subject matter expertise for existing data projects and technology solutions, including expertise in data processes and data relationships to support data and analytic solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to create presentations and/or writing products for dissemination.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects, working efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of health insurance claims data and automated data intake processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma plus 9 years of database management experience, including computer programming experience and/or technical business analyst experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 5 years of database management experience, including computer programming experience and/or technical business analyst experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL Server, Visio, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in one of the following: C++, C#, Visual Studio, Crystal Reports, PHP, ASP, Java, J2EE, PHP.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5 years of database management experience, including computer programming experience and/or technical business analyst experience with health insurance data.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance claims data and automated data intake processes.
  • Experience with software development life cycle practices.

The salary for this position is commensurate with education and experience.
