About Southwest Airlines and the Offices Division

Southwest Airlines is a renowned private industry leader, and our Offices Division plays a vital role in planning and developing facilities used by our aircraft. This includes the improvement of airport facilities, Reservations Centers, Maintenance Hangs, Crew Bases, and Provisioning Bases, as well as revamping and expanding existing facilities infrastructure-wide. The Projects Group within this division is responsible for managing and supporting construction projects at over 90 airport facilities and our headquarters grounds.

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team as an Associate Project Engineer. This full-time role is based in Texas, USA, and requires a strong and diverse skillset to drive success in our remote projects. As an Associate Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting the administration of drawing documentation, facilities guidelines documentation, and door standards and data for all internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with drawing design cleanliness, ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards.
  • Attend gathering information, verify field data, and help with assembling data gathered to support project goals.
  • Prepare drawing requests from Project Directors and Management, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Refresh and expand Revit Family Libraries to maintain our cutting-edge design capabilities.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, demonstrating your foundational knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong advanced technical drawing skills, preferably in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or similar software.
  • A fundamental understanding of LiDAR is preferred, showcasing your ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects with tight deadlines, highlighting your organizational and time management skills.
  • Critical thinking and strong written/verbal communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with our team.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:

  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects or in a related field.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
