Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Income Tax Analyst to join our team in Tampa, FL. As a Senior Income Tax Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our global tax compliance, annual tax planning, and research efforts. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax filings, conducting tax research, and providing technical expertise to our tax team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex tax filings, including US federal and state tax returns, and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations
- Conduct tax research and provide technical expertise to our tax team on various tax matters, including tax planning, tax accounting, and tax controversy
- Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of tax strategies
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our tax planning and compliance efforts
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in our tax operations
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members and support their development and growth
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a global company or public accounting firm
- Experience with the preparation of US federal and state tax returns, including consolidated tax returns
- Knowledge of US and international tax laws, regulations, and treaties, including tax accounting and tax planning principles
- Experience with tax accounting systems and processes, including tax provision and tax compliance software
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax data and develop creative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical tax information to non-tax professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Tax Professional (CTP), or other relevant professional certification
- Master's degree in Taxation, Law, or a related field, with a focus on tax accounting and tax planning
- Experience with international tax, including tax planning, tax accounting, and tax controversy
- Knowledge of tax accounting software, including Oracle, SAP, or other similar systems
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, including Excel, Power BI, or other similar software
