About the Role

As a Sensing Technology Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for working on system-level prototyping, integration, characterization, and validation of sensing technologies. You will be part of a talented team that integrates MEMS, magnetic, and capacitive sensors across a range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. Your expertise in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design will be crucial in driving the development of innovative sensing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch next-generation sensing technologies for Apple products
• Work on system-level prototyping, integration, characterization, and validation of sensing technologies
• Perform failure mode analysis, root cause diagnosis, and system-level problem-solving using analog circuit simulations and data analysis
• Design schematics for boards and flexible assemblies, and conduct future-era scoping and proof-of-concept investigations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, and System Engineering, to deliver effective sensing solutions
• Manage multi-functional technical development of sensors and present to executive management on key features and issues
• Contribute technical insights to strategic decision-making related to technology and investments
• Occasional business travel to support product development

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in analog and mixed-signal system-level circuit design
• A strong electrical engineering background, with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) or equivalent
• Proficiency in MATLAB, SPICE, or similar simulation and modeling tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong teamwork and leadership competencies
