About the Company and Role

As a Data Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data storage and processing solutions that drive business growth and inform strategic decisions. This is a full-time remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data storage solutions, including all layers of data architecture (ingestion, storage, serving layer) in Azure cloud.
- Develop and execute data processing plans using various ETL tools for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and job scheduling.
- Ensure data security by implementing role-based access control, masking, and scrambling sensitive information.
- Monitor and optimize data storage and processing using monitoring tools, file format optimization, and query tuning.
- Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines (ADF is a plus), Spark Pools, Synapse SQL pools, and SQL Managed Instance to drive data engineering initiatives.
- Manage stakeholders and drive timely execution of tasks using agile methodologies.
- Build robust and scalable technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead and mentor team members on technical skills and best practices.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and experience delivering large-scale projects on time.
- Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines (ADF is a plus), PySpark, Spark SQL, T-SQL, and data modeling.
- Excellent understanding of agile methodologies and ability to deliver reliable project outcomes.
- High data quality standards and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Azure Functions (coded in Python) is a plus.
- Certification in DP-203 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is desirable.
