About the Company and Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data storage solutions, including all layers of data architecture (ingestion, storage, serving layer) in Azure cloud.
• Develop and execute data processing plans using various ETL tools for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and job scheduling.
• Ensure data security by implementing role-based access control, masking, and scrambling sensitive information.
• Monitor and optimize data storage and processing using monitoring tools, file format optimization, and query tuning.
• Utilize Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines (ADF is a plus), Spark Pools, Synapse SQL pools, and SQL Managed Instance to drive data engineering initiatives.
• Manage stakeholders and drive timely execution of tasks using agile methodologies.
• Build robust and scalable technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead and mentor team members on technical skills and best practices.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and experience delivering large-scale projects on time.
• Strong expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines (ADF is a plus), PySpark, Spark SQL, T-SQL, and data modeling.
• Excellent understanding of agile methodologies and ability to deliver reliable project outcomes.
• High data quality standards and strong analytical skills.
• Experience with Azure Functions (coded in Python) is a plus.
• Certification in DP-203 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is desirable.
