Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Math Tutor to work with students in grades 6-12 in our learning center, online, or at local schools. As a Math Tutor, you will be responsible for providing 90-minute tutoring sessions, 6-12 hours per week, to students who require support in mathematics. Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-person math tutoring to students in grades 6-12
- Conduct 90-minute tutoring sessions, either in our learning center, online, or at local schools
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure academic growth
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and guardians as needed
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in math education
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Earned Bachelor's degree or Junior Year standing at a local university
- At least one year of experience as a math teacher or tutor
- Strong academic background in mathematics, with the ability to teach all math subjects at either the 6th-8th grade level or 9th-12th grade level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications include:
- More than two years of experience as a math teacher or tutor
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools
