Position Summary and Purpose

The Department of Decision, Operations, and Information Technologies invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Information Systems. We are looking for candidates with a Ph.D. and a track record of high-impact and creative research in areas such as artificial intelligence, algorithmic bias, the spread and mitigation of false and inaccurate information online, and sustainability. The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Conduct impactful and inspirational research
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD students
  • Participate in service activities for the department, school, and/or university

Key Responsibilities

Research and Teaching

  • Develop and execute a research program that addresses the grand challenges of our times
  • Publish high-quality research in top-tier journals and conferences
  • Teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD levels
  • Develop and maintain expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and information systems

Service and Community Engagement

  • Participate in departmental, school, and university service activities
  • Engage with the business and technology communities through outreach and collaboration
  • Contribute to the development of the department's and school's strategic plans

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related field
  • An established record of research excellence commensurate with experience
  • Excellent teaching skills, including the ability to incorporate the latest insights from research and practice into existing and new courses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in areas such as artificial intelligence, algorithmic bias, the spread and mitigation of false and inaccurate information online, and sustainability
  • A track record of publishing high-quality research in top-tier journals and conferences
  • Experience with teaching a variety of courses at the undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD levels
