Job Summary

We are seeking part-time Economics Tutors to work with students in ECON 302 Intermediate Microeconomics Analysis and ECON 304 Intermediate Macroeconomics Analysis. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, helping them to understand complex economic concepts, and developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring support to students in ECON 302 Intermediate Microeconomics Analysis and ECON 304 Intermediate Macroeconomics Analysis
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and study materials to support student learning
  • Assess student understanding and progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Collaborate with faculty and other tutors to ensure consistency and quality of academic support
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills and knowledge

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A strong background in economics, with a focus on microeconomics and macroeconomics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively

  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred, but not required
