Job Summary
As a Retail Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing product and service information, and ensuring that every customer leaves our store satisfied. You will be knowledgeable about our printing, signs & graphics, and shipping services, and will be able to recommend appropriate products and services to meet customer needs. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining a wide variety of equipment, managing the production queue and output, and completing assigned tasks based on priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of printing, signs & graphics, and shipping services, and recommend appropriate products and services to meet customer needs
- Operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, including printing, binding, and other related equipment
- Manage the production queue and output, and ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Complete assigned tasks based on priority, and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store environment
- Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change
- Maintain confidentiality of customer data and handle documents, media, and packages with care
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience in customer service, retail, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Knowledge of printing, signs & graphics, and shipping services
- Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
