Job Description

This is an exceptional opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the IT field while working remotely. As an IT Service Desk Staff member, you will provide top-notch support to a large retail client, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to point-of-sale devices and other IT equipment. We offer flexible schedules with afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts, making it an ideal role for students managing academic commitments or those looking for seasonal work and extra income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote IT support to retail clients, ensuring timely resolution of issues to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with point-of-sale devices, leveraging your technical expertise to resolve complex problems.
  • Assist with basic IT inquiries and support requests, providing clear and concise solutions to clients.
  • Document and track support requests in a ticketing system, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve overall client experience.
  • Additional duties may be required based on business needs, and the aforementioned duties may also be changed based on business needs.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older, with a background check performed as part of the hiring process.
  • Basic IT fundamental experience or prior retail experience, with a strong understanding of point-of-sale devices a plus.
  • Minimum internet connection of 20MB, ensuring reliable and high-speed connectivity.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and internal teams in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
