Our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Estimating group is a critical component of our business, driving revenue and profit growth through client-driven pricing principles and innovative pricing solutions.
We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst in the Pricing and Analysis team, you'll play a crucial role in determining and reporting merchant discount revenue. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's goal for profitable charge volume and merchant growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a Canada figure for merchant rebate income, tracking month-to-month execution against conjecture and identifying drivers of change.
- Develop merchant rebate income scorecards for the Canada region, providing valuable insights into revenue trends.
- Drive normalization and process improvement among the various regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities.
- Support external audits, including investigating issues found, liaising with regional pricing teams to discuss issues, and managing resolutions.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights that inform business decisions.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, or other financial roles.
- A four-year college degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- High proficiency with Excel, including advanced data analysis and modeling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize accordingly.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large datasets.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS/SQL is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be different objectives.
