Job Summary

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and building our Information Products and Data Warehouses, focusing on Engagement and Retention Analysis and Data Science. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable data warehousing solutions, engineer data solutions, and define data models that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of our Information Products and Data Warehouses, focusing on Engagement and Retention Analysis and Data Science.
  • Design and develop scalable data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Large Information conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) using technologies like Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Wind stream.
  • Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the critical data warehouse and data marts.
  • Collaborate with Information Product Managers, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to support data quality and data governance.
  • Ensure high operational efficiency and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support commitment to our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis teams).
  • Be an active member and advocate of agile/scrum practices to ensure safety and process improvements for your team.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to create queries to extract data and build performant datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems like Flink, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala.
  • Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query).
  • Strong experience in data integration toolsets (i.e., Wind current) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of Data Modeling techniques and Data Warehousing standard practices.
  • Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2).
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality data solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment and a passion for continuous improvement.
