Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative - Remote Data Entry Specialist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for performing data entry tasks, resolving customer inquiries, and providing support to pharmacists and other stakeholders. This is a full-time, remote opportunity with a competitive hourly salary of $27-$35.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Walgreens' proprietary data entry techniques and guidelines to process new patient enrollment by entering data into the appropriate system.
  • Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Research and obtain missing prescription information, and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and communicate with patients, prescribers, and guarantors as needed.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and in other locations, and identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
  • Handle correspondence with patients (inbound calls, chats, emails) and resolve outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
  • Settle third-party rejections by investigating, gathering information, making revisions, and resubmitting for processing according to individual claim requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic level PC skills, including launching and shutting down PC, using the mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, printing reports, and accessing data online.
  • Basic web navigation skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a webpage, navigating back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • 18 years old or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of pharmacy professional experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy professional with a certification/enrollment by the state as granted by the state Board of Pharmacy or widely recognized certification organization.
  • Experience providing customer care to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and assessment of customer satisfaction.
  • Mid-to-advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
