Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our tech team in a remote online capacity. As a data engineer, you'll play a critical role in architecting, coding, and delivering software solutions that make us an integral part of our clients' digital lives. You'll work alongside talented engineers in open, supportive, and inclusive surroundings, making your own choices on what tech to apply to solve complex problems. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, deploy, and operate relational database programs across development, test, and production environments
  • Design and implement powerful test instances that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop observability abilities into solutions to enable the critical identification of root causes for failures in time-sensitive processes
  • Ensure scalability with SQL and other data management technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for data engineering solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of the codebase

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in developing, deploying, and operating relational database programs
  • Proven experience in growing powerful test instances that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience with scalability using SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Public Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus
  • Experience with data engineering tools and technologies such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
