The Role: Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at Rust-Oleum, you will be the face of our company for sales representatives, distributors, and dealers. Your mission will be to handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure that orders are on track and delivered on time. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to provide exceptional service and support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to sales representatives, distributors, and dealers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure that customer orders are accurate, complete, and delivered on time, working closely with internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, services, and policies, using this knowledge to provide informed support to customers
  • Utilize SAP or other CRM systems to manage customer interactions, track orders, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and logistics, to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to senior team members or management as needed
  • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to improve customer service and efficiency

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of customer service or support experience, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Strong Excel skills, with the ability to learn and utilize SAP or other CRM systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and deadlines with ease
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and implement changes
  • Diplomatic and professional demeanor, with the ability to handle challenging customer interactions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B customer support, particularly in the manufacturing or industrial sectors
  • Familiarity with PC systems for order placement, pricing, and distribution
  • Knowledge of customer service software and technologies, such as CRM systems and ticketing platforms
