Key Responsibilities

- Educate customers and dental professionals on eligibility, benefits, claims payment, and authorizations.
- Promote the usage and benefits of self-service tools, empowering customers to manage their information independently.
- Assist members in gaining access to care by locating a network dentist or assigning them to a primary care dentist.
- Direct inquiries to necessary departments or individuals when the resolution of the inquiry is beyond the scope of this role.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, providing accurate information and resolving issues efficiently.
- Research and consistently provide accurate information to resolve all member and provider inquiries through verbal and written communications across various channels, including phone, email, web portal, and chat interactions.
- Respond to and resolve internal and external complex customer inquiries, demonstrating expertise and problem-solving skills.
- Resolve claim payment inquiries by researching and analyzing patient activity, determining appropriate action to be taken.
- Take ownership of the resolution and set expectations for follow-up, ensuring that issues are fully resolved.
- Ensure resubmissions, stop payments, and voids are handled appropriately, maintaining accurate records and efficient processes.
- Meet or exceed individual, department, and client-specific goals, contributing to the success of our organization.
- Understand and adhere to all client administrative and contractual policies and procedures, maintaining compliance and high standards.
- Suggest ways to improve the service delivery processes, contributing to the success of our organization and demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in a high-volume customer service environment, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Ability to multi-task using multiple applications simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to set up computer equipment and troubleshoot issues with minimal assistance, demonstrating technical skills.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
