Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team, responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient movement of aircraft parts and materials. As an Expeditor, you'll play a critical role in supporting our airline's operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to resolve issues and meet material requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with outside vendors to expedite the arrival of aircraft parts and materials, ensuring timely availability to support our operational goals.
- Work with AOG (Aircraft on Ground) orders as required, providing critical support to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Communicate with suppliers to provide updates on past-due orders, transportation, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze and manage maintenance/transportation plans and stock reports to determine material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
- Provide transportation and delivery information to key stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including FMR (Flight Management Records) or log pages, and vehicle data.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, status updates, and dashboards to provide visibility into material movement and inventory levels.
- Assist buyers with inquiries and purchase order status, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to resolve discrepancies in transportation, invoicing, quality, and part numbers.
- Assist What Bosses in resolving receipt issues and work with supplier management teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management) or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in expeditor, stockroom, or production planning roles, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
