Job Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Remote Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
* **Data Collection and Analysis:** Gathering, organizing, and analyzing large-scale, high-dimensional data from various sources using tools like PySpark and advanced SQL.
* **Data Visualization:** Building automated, adaptable, repeatable, and integrated analysis involving current large data structures in data ecosystems, such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery.
* **Data Mining and Statistical Analysis:** Applying refined analysis techniques (data mining, statistical analysis, AI) to identify patterns and reveal opportunities in social data.
* **Campaign, Product, Customer, and Audience Analysis:** Leading campaign, product, customer, and audience analysis for organizational needs, creating and tracking key metrics to measure success.
* **Collaboration with Design and Product Teams:** Working with Design and Product teams to complete data projects, contributing to product discovery, design, build, and QA.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* **Essential Qualifications:**
+ 2 years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related quantitative field
+ Knowledge of directed and self-directed learning methods
+ Proficiency in using pre-processing tools like PySpark/Python/R and SQL
+ Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
+ Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities
* **Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience in applying supervised and unsupervised learning methods, such as direct and indirect regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering to determine, validate, and measure outcomes from the data
+ Experience in reporting data requirements, rules, and assumptions
+ Experience in data mining in distributed systems like Databricks/Google BigQuery/Snowflake
+ Experience in controlling large, transactional datasets and deciphering data patterns from different dissimilar data sources
+ An interest in music or potentially media industry data!
+ Knowledge of music real-time features (Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, FB/Instagram), and new innovations (digital assistants/voice)
+ Graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related quantitative field
